HOW TO FIND MY READING GLASS POWER

Choosing the right reading glass lens power (diopter) will depend on the distance that you are reading at. Working at a desktop 24 inches away will require a different power than when reading a book 16 inches away. Generally, the further you are away from the object that you are reading, the less lens power you will need. You should take this into consideration when choosing your power and choose the power that is optimal for your most common reading distance. You can also adjust the readers up and down your nose to change the magnification.

You can determine your reading glasses power using our What’s My Power Chart. Open and print this chart and follow the simple instructions to find your suggested power. You cannot use this chart by reading it on your device since different screens display at different sizes and resolutions.
